Marlin Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle, #379589, .22 cal., 24'' octagon barrel, blue finish, straight grip oil finished walnut stock, checkered hard rubber ''Marlin Safety'' buttplate, with Rocky Mountain front and rear sight; front sight with silver blade. Barrel with two-line ''Mar. 1, 1892'' last patent date address; upper tang is marked with second type ''Marlin / Model '92''. Approx. 70% toning factory blue finish remains and this rifle rates as very good overall. Wear to the receiver, lever and highpoints account for a majority of the finish loss. Receiver with light scratching to both sides. Barrel address and other factory marks are clear and well defined. Buttstock with only slight handling marks; forend with a handful of moderate impressions and one little bit larger gouge to the lower end near the receiver.
